Rule #1: Members attending flying sessions must be prepared to have fun. Rule #2: Only M.E.F.F.A qualified sailplanes can be used to get record flights. Other sailplanes may be flown for fun. Rule #3: Record flights must take place at a recognized M.E.F.F.A flying session where at least one other M.E.F.F.A pilot is present. Times are recorded to the nearest whole minute. A flight of 29 minutes and 45 seconds would be recorded as a 29 minute flight. The pilot will act as his own timer and be honest when reporting his times. Rule #4: Pilots will not tell others they are in good lift when they are using their electric motor and are not in lift. Rule #5: Guest flyers are always welcome to fly with M.E.F.F.A as long as they adhere to our rules. Rule #6: There is no formal plan for frequency control. Please make sure that your frequency is not in use before turning your transmitter on. Rule #7: All pilots will fly in a safe manner and place the safety of others and the physical environment above the importance of getting maximum flight times. The pilot of an aircraft, not M.E.F.F.A, will be responsible for any damage caused by its operation. Please remember that a crashed sailplane is better than an injured spectator. |
